Hairroin Salon Grand Re-Opening Party @Space 1520
Hairroin Salon is a safe haven for all who desire to have the best looking hair in Southern California. Being lucky enough to be one of their makeup artists is a dream come true for a girl from Northern California just wanting a team of fabulous people to fit in and work with. Janine Jarman (owner) at 24 years old created Hairroin Salon with help from her best friends and family and 6 years later what an achievement to not only have kept the business alive but made it thrive! The salon's new location is seated amongst the coolest complex of stores downtown Hollywood has to offer, Space 1520 just north of the intersection of Cahuenga at Sunsent blvd. Tonite was the party to celebrate the welcoming of a new era of success of the salon and to honor the hard working elements and people that it takes to keep Hairroin Salon progressing. It was great to see our friends and regular clients come out to support the culture that Janine and everyone at Hairroin Salon has so preciously cultivated and protected. If you haven't seen the new space yet and you live in LA, come by and check us out. If you're in need of an appearance boost-book an appointment-you wont be disappointed!!! www.HairroinSalon.com

Dark Chocolate Coconut Bliss
Most frozen desserts I cannot have. Why not? Because I'm fucking lactose intolerant, or as many of my dear friends refer to it as "being Lactarded". Anyway, I'm here to tell you that dairy is delicious, however most humans are mildly or severely allergic to it as it is filled with hormones, and large sugar molecules that are hard for our bodies to break down. Ugh! I know:( Cheese was my favorite food ever, just ask anyone that's seen me wolf down half a box of Wisconsin Cheese curds from Trader Joe's. When I found this Coconut Bliss brand of coconut ice cream I bought it thinking that it would totally suck. It didn't. Because of that non suckyness, I am now semi addicted to purchasing this and eating it every week. It's not exactly as creamy and delicious as dairy ice cream is BUT! it is very similar to the texture and taste of jello pudding pops (everyone loved those things, right?) So, if you're "Lactarded" like me or don't want to eat anything that has animals in it, or want a healthier alternative to chocolate ice cream, eat Dark Chocolate Coconut Bliss. I got mine at Whole Foods but I'm sure most health food stores carry it. Girls love chocolate, it's the fucking awful truth!!!

Bonnie Hayes
I fucking love the movie Valley Girl. Nicholas Cage is the most delicious fashion punk in that movie. Total dream boyfriend. Anyway. The soundtrack is actually pretty bitchin. Especially if you're a fan of Josie Cotton, or Bonnie Hayes, or Sparks or come to think of it, pretty much if you like 80's new wave or power pop. Alright. But my point is I discovered Bonnie Hayes off the Valley Girl soundtrack when I bought it back in 2001 or something. I loved her song,"Girls Like Me" It's super girlie, it's super power pop and cute and it makes me proud to be a lip gloss wearing hussy. So please check out Bonnie Hayes if you want cute girlie music to listen to while driving around in your hussymobile.
